The Master of Arts Degree in Adlerian Counseling and Psychotherapy is a non-traditional graduate program tailored to meet the specific interests of students, and to meet the needs of working adults by offering classes on evenings and weekends. Students take required courses in six categories: Psychological Foundations, Individual Psychological Theory, Professional Foundations, Individual Psychological Techniques, Advanced Applications, and Practica.

Description:
The Diploma Program in Adlerian Psychotherapy is a post-graduate training program for mental health professionals. The granting of this diploma indicates the Alfred Adler Graduate School's recognition of an individual's demonstrated competence in the responsible practice of Adlerian Psychotherapy. At the point of admission and at the request of the applicant, the Institute will consider waiving or transferring graduate level courses that are equivalent to AAGS's requirements. In order to be considered for admission to the Diploma Program, applicants must have a Master of Arts degree in psychology or a related field, a minimum of 18 quarter credits at the graduate level in psychology or a related field, and a minimum of 18 months work experience as a counselor or therapist. The Diploma Program is designed to help meet the requirements for Marriage and Family Therapy licensure. A Course Sequence Grid is available from the Office of Student Services and is provided during New Student Orientation.
