HELLO FRIENDS,
I am BUDDHADEV GANGULY and I would like to share my experience with you people that I have undergone during the selection process of L&T INFOTECH.
It was an off campus selection, nearly 1000 appeared ,from which 500 were selected for the G.D ,230 appeared for the final profile interview and finally nearly 200 were short listed for L&T.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 55% CAREER
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
There was 3 rounds:
1.WRITTEN
2.G.D
3.PROFILE INTERVIEW
WRITTEN: The written was mainly divided into 3 sections.
1.QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE.(30 QUESTIONS)
2.VERBAL AND NON VERBAL(30 QUESTIONS)
3.ENGLISH SECTION(30 QUESTIONS)
There was sectional cutoff for each section .For 90 questions we had 90 minutes to solve it. For Q.A go through Time & distance, Problems on trains ,time and work, percentage, average, profit and loss. go through RS Agrawal .There was no negative marking so try to attempt as much question as you can.
For verbal and nonverbal section practise the figure series ,syllogism,datainterpretation.This section was a bit tough,but if you practise the things its not so difficult. Remember time management is the main key.
English section was like ok,it consisted of some synonyms,antonyms,fill in the blanks,analogy,a passage was given we had to derive the conclusion,reading comprehension(easy one.)
Next was the G.D round. It was the main elimination round. In this round we were divided into groups of 12.15minutes was given to discuss the topic amongst us, then each candidate was given 1-2 minutes time to discuss his content. Always remember that in this round your fluency, eye contact matters. Try to say at least 3-4 valid points and avoid making it a fish market. The topics was not difficult, they were common ones like.
1.RESERVATION IS A BOON OR A BANE FOR INDIA.
2.LOVE MARRIAGE OR ARRANGED MARRIAGE.
3FAKE ENCOUNTER.
4.WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR POOR PERFORMANCE OF INDIAN CRICKET TEAM.
5.OVER COMMERCIALISATION OF CRICKET.
6IMPACT OF BOLLYWOOD ON YOUTH.
The last round was a profile interview. It was a one-to-many interview. It was a H.R round, no technical questions were asked,so no need to worry,be confident and answer the questions. Some general questions were.
1DESCRIBE YOURSELF THAT IS NOT IN YOUR C.V.
2.WHY L&T SHOLD HIRE YOU.
3WHY L&T?
If you belong to other branches rather than C.S.E ,I.T be prepared for the question that why you want a software job.
