I finally got placed in CTS after my ten month's of struggle.I want to thank all the members of this wonderful group.It is the information provided in this group helped me a lot to succeed.

I wrote the aptitude test for Thinksoft selected but lost in the 2nd round(GD). After a long gap i attended the TCS walkin in VIT vellore but lost the first round itself.After failed in Thinksoft i was very much depressed and joined this wonderful group, got mails and read several success stories which helped me a lot in succeeding. several suggestions, several informations from lot of people, it's wonderful u won't get it anywhere.

About CTS test pattern:

I wrote the aptitude test on march 19th and interview on 24th march and on 29th i received message that i got selected for a career with cognizant. Telling about the written test the pattern is entirely different from what i had prepared from the question papers provided. The question paper has 40 questions that should be answered in 1 hr .Time won't be sufficient for attending all the questions but my advice is try to answer as much questions as possible. Actually i answered 33 questions.The question paper fully had problems relating to Time and Work alone. Also had some puzzles like identifying the less weighted coin from some 900 coins ...In English we had odd man out questions no synonyms and antonyms. And one more advice to all the members who are waiting to write cts test is please ask ur best friends who have attended the test.

Interview:
The interview was around 30 minutes. First he asked me to give all my mark sheets right from my 10th to all semester mark sheets. The very first question to me was that why i got less marks in maths (85) compared to all the other subjects which were above 90's. And in the college the marks were in 70's. He asked me why i secured less marks compared to my school marks. I gave the answer like, in school we have one year whereas in college we have only 3 months per semester.

He asked me questions from OOP's for which i answered, and he started asking about all the subject right from my 3rd semester till the last sem. He is expecting more from me because i am I.T student and I told him frankly that i could not revise because i had only 2 days for preparation. He asked me questions from data structures, networking.

He told to write a SWAP program using 2 variables and i wrote he told o.k. Also he asked me solve puzzles like There is a building of n floors in which the 1st floor has 5 rooms and 2nd floor has 10 rooms(Even numbered floor has 10 rooms and Odd numbered floor 5 rooms).The question is in which floor will be 129th room.The answer is 18th floor 4th room.

The second puzzle is, there is 5litre can and a 3litre can we have measure exactly 4litres.
Actually i haven't expected puzzles in CTS but the prepation i made for infosys exam helped a lot. I got the solved puzzles from this group only. It really helped me a lot. He asked about my project i said. And finally he asked whether i have any questions to ask. I asked about the duration of the training and about the criteria they are using for perfomance appraisal.

My sincere advice to all those people who are about write the cts exam is read the instructions carefully in the hall ticket, bring ur valid identity cards also have ur photo pasted in the hall ticket. Bring ur 10th original marksheet or attested photocopy of the certifiacte with seal.Before the test we have half an hour for writng all our particulars and we have enter all our semester marks, aggregate from first sem till last sem. Have all ur calcutions written in the paper and u can copy the same. I see many people using their cell phones for calculating. so better do all the calculations in home.

As for as interview is concered we have to bring all the original marksheets in case if we not in a situation to bring originals bring attested photocopies with seal. Always better to bring originals if we have. And bring ur entrance mark sheet in the case of engineering students. if u don't, remember the marks. Be confident and be true to the interviewer because he is an experienced person and tell him the truth if u know,i know otherwise not. But tell him that u can study if they give time to study.
