ACADEMIC IMPACT OF SMS
- In December 2002, a cheated scheme was caught during final-exam week at
the University of Maryland, College Park. A large number of students were
caught cheating on the accounting exam by the use of text messages on their
cell phones.
- In December 2002, Hitotsubashi University in Japan 26 students were failed
for receiving e-mailed exam answers on their cell phones.
