Sharia law, a man may give divorce via text messaging as far as
the message was clear and unequivocal.
- During Hurricane Katrina, many residential
people were not able to make contact to their relatives/friends using the
traditional landline phones. Via SMS they could easily communicate to one
another when the network worked.
